Accompaniment of isolated minors

It matters little to us the nationality and religion of the migrants; we welcome them all with the same respect and enthusiasm. We are at their side to help them during this interminable ordeal of asylum applications.

The association welcomes 5 unaccompanied minors or young adults, mainly from sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. On the basis of a reception contract, the association supports them in several areas: accommodation,   food, learning French, integration, health, legal aid for application for asylum, schooling of children.

On December 23, 2017, A. (from Bangladesh) and Ab. (from Guinea) arrived in the Côte des Légendes, two young unaccompanied minors, both born in 2001, getting along very well, and referred by the ADJIM of Brest.

They were accommodated in 3 homes/families (in Goulven and Plouider), alternately every month. Abdoulaye was then educated in Brest, while Ali, not speaking our language, took French lessons in Brest and then in Lesneven.

A. preferred to go to work in Toulouse in April 2019, then abandoning his 1st year of CAP, and Ab. was admitted to boarding school in Brest at the start of the 2019 school year.

J., from Congo, was also welcomed from September 2019 to February 2020, also in 3 homes.

These experiences have been very enriching. Cohabitation with these enthusiastic, determined and spirited young people is a great experience.

We are looking for:

One or more people who can accommodate a young 23-year-old Senegalese, voluntary and friendly!
